Some day

Strange

You should

Breathlessly

Expect

Something

We were just waiting for perfection

And it shone

Like a diamond

And then

Was gone

Was that

Your perception

Oh that

Nervous smile

I see it still

In your eyes

That mirror never lies

And you run another scene

Down by the bay

With friends and fireworks to follow

I came later

And you said you had to go

I often wonder

What you were thinking about

Why the end had to come that way

Maybe

Somehow

You can tell me

Some day
